Essential Information
Best Time to Visit
April–November (dry season). Roads to Bekopaka are impassable December–March. Best months: May–October.
Visa Requirements
Tourist visa available on arrival at Ivato Airport – $37 USD cash for 30 days. Passport must be valid for 6 months. Two passport photos required.
Health & Safety
Malaria prophylaxis recommended for western regions. Yellow fever certificate required if arriving from endemic countries. Bring rehydration salts for long drives. Travel insurance with medical evacuation mandatory.
