1. Booking and Payment

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after we receive your deposit payment and send you a written confirmation. All bookings are subject to availability.

Payment Schedule

  • Deposit: 30% of total tour cost due at booking
  • Balance: Full payment due 60 days before tour departure
  • Last-minute bookings (within 60 days): Full payment required at booking

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Customer

  • More than 90 days before departure: 15% cancellation fee
  • 60-90 days before departure: 30% cancellation fee
  • 30-59 days before departure: 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% cancellation fee (no refund)

Cancellation by Amazing Travel Madagascar

We reserve the right to cancel a tour due to insufficient participants, force majeure, or safety concerns. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or alternative tour options.

3. Changes and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather, road conditions, national park closures, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives.

If you wish to modify your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

4. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all tours. Your insurance must cover:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses and emergency evacuation
  • Lost or damaged baggage
  • Personal liability

5. Health and Safety

Health Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring you meet all health requirements for travel to Madagascar, including:

  • Vaccinations (consult your doctor 6-8 weeks before travel)
  • Malaria prophylaxis (recommended for most regions)
  • Travel health insurance

Physical Requirements

Some tours involve hiking, walking on uneven terrain, and physical activity. Please inform us of any medical conditions or mobility limitations that may affect your participation.

6. Passport and Visa

You are responsible for ensuring your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates and for obtaining necessary visas. Most nationalities can get a Madagascar visa on arrival ($37 for 30 days).

7. Liability and Responsibility

Amazing Travel Madagascar acts as an agent for hotels, airlines, transportation companies, and other service providers. We are not liable for:

  • Acts or omissions of third-party service providers
  • Injury, loss, damage, or delay due to force majeure
  • Personal injury or property damage due to your own negligence
  • Costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations, or itinerary changes

8. Behavior and Conduct

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior endangers others, damages property, or significantly disrupts the tour. No refund will be provided in such cases.

9. Environmental Responsibility

Participants must respect Madagascar's natural environment and follow park rules, including:

  • Do not litter or disturb wildlife
  • Stay on designated trails
  • Follow guide instructions
  • Respect local communities and customs

10. Complaints

If you have a complaint during your tour, please inform your guide or contact us immediately so we can address the issue. Complaints made after the tour may be more difficult to resolve.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, political instability, pandemics, strikes, or other force majeure events.
