Essential Information
Best Time to Visit
April–November (dry season). Indri lemurs can be heard year-round. Fort-Dauphin is sunny and warm most of the year.
Visa Requirements
Visa on arrival available for most nationalities at $37 USD for 30 days. Passport valid for 6 months required.
Health & Safety
Malaria risk is low in Andasibe highlands but prophylaxis recommended for Fort-Dauphin coastal area. Yellow fever certificate required if coming from endemic areas. Travel insurance mandatory.
