Essential Information
Best Time to Visit
April-November (dry season). Roads to Bekopaka extremely difficult December-March. Best months: May-October for sunny weather and accessible roads.
Visa Requirements
Tourist visa available on arrival at Ivato Airport - $37 USD cash for 30 days. Passport must be valid for 6 months beyond travel dates. Two passport photos required.
Health & Safety
Malaria prophylaxis recommended for western regions. Yellow fever certificate required if arriving from endemic countries. Bring rehydration salts for long drives. Travel insurance with medical evacuation mandatory. Western region is hot and dry.
